Shannon Prince (Cherokee) is a PhD/JD student. She is second-year law student at Yale University, and a PhD candidate in African and African American Studies at Harvard University. She plans to use her law degree to practice social justice litigation including litigation on behalf of indigenous peoples’ rights.

Shannon was a Lombard Fellow in Mongolia where she wrote an ethnographic reference guide to help two indigenous ethnic groups with their post-Soviet cultural revitalization efforts. She also represented Harvard University at the Newberry Consortium in American Indian Studies Summer Institute. Shannon received her A.B. magna cum laude in Senior Fellowship from Dartmouth College and her AM in English from Harvard.
