All That Remains exhibition featured in two recent publications

While the All That Remains: Material Remembrances in Love and Loss exhibition at the Yale Institute of Sacred Music closed in October 2013, the show lives on in two recent publications.

Hospice Compassus is a national organization that provides physical, psychological, and spiritual care and support to terminally-ill patients and their loved ones. Chaplain Pat Meister, from the Texas branch of Compassus, visited the exhibition in October while on a trip to the East Coast. He felt that the show’s message about “love, loss, and remembrance” would resonate with his clients and their loved ones. Hospice Compassus of Texas reprinted the exhibition essay with images in its February 2014 newsletter. Read more  

The second publication, News from Native California, is a quarterly magazine devoted to the cultures, art, and histories of the indigenous people of California. In existence since 1987, the magazine has supported and recognized the work of Rick Bartow, Harry Fonseca, and Judith Lowry, three artists featured in the show. The article, written by the exhibition’s curator Anya Montiel, focuses on the creation and exhibition development process behind All That Remains. Along with images of the artwork, the article includes a photograph of the YSGNA members with Rick Bartow. Read more
