A graduate of the State University of New York at Binghamton, Andrew earned an M.A. in History and Native American Studies from the University of Georgia in 2012, authoring a thesis entitled, “Unsettled New York: Land, Law, and Haudenosaunee Nationalism in the Early Twentieth Century.” A presentation based on this research was awarded the prize for best Graduate Student Paper at the 2012 conference of the Native American & Indigenous Studies Association. He is currently exploring the intersection of land, settler colonialism, and the development of capitalism in the early American republic. Andrew also hosts a monthly podcast series called New Books in Native American Studies where he interviews recently-published authors in the field.
